Our Design Approach
We are frequently asked “What is the solution to a low-carbon future?” The answer is that there is not one single technological solution, but rather a myriad from which to choose. The optimum blend of solutions will depend upon the application, location and intended use.
Historically, architects and engineers sought to make use of local and fortuitous features when designing buildings. Today, many modern designers over-rely on crude technological fixes which can be deployed anywhere in the world, without consideration of regional or peculiar opportunities. Unfortunately this means increased energy dependency.
Novarama will always consider project- and site-specific factors before proposing a design solution, such as climate, rivers, ground conditions, agriculture, industrial processes and more. We then propose an ensemble of solutions, all aligned to offer the optimum low-carbon and low-energy solution with no loss of amenity and often at lower cost.
